Democrats Face Their Own Russia Controversies

October 24, 2017

FOX NEWS

Fox News has reported that after the months and months of the Russian accusations of collusion the media has been feeding us all through the presidential campaign to the present time, the tables now seem to have turned. Republicans are now saying that it's the Democrats that are the real ones who have “ a lot of explaining to do” as new development begin to raise a multitude of questions about their own Russian connections.

First are the reports that have surfaced that the FBI knew all about a Russian bribery plot that is tied to the Russian energy interests in the U.S. Way before the Obama administration gave the okay to a mining company to sell uranium to a Russian firm allowing them to have partial control over our uranium reserves.

Next comes the report that Mueller's Russia investigation is now looking at the business dealings of Tony Podesta who is a powerful Democratic lobbyist and the brother of John Podesta, the former campaign chairman for Hillary Clinton.

Then there's the proof about the Fusion GPS firm that was behind the controversial and false anti-Trump dossier that went to court to try and block Congress from getting a hold of their bank records after their representatives who took the Fifth in their Capitol Hill appearance last week.

Of course, Ms Hillary brushed off this revival of the uranium deal as “baloney” and just meant to distract the GOP's own controversies. However, the Republicans beg to differ on that statement.

“Now it's the Democrats who have some explaining to do,” Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “I hope they will cooperate with the investigation, be forthcoming with the American people and I expect the media to cover these new developments with the same breathless intensity they have given to this investigation since day one.” (Editors Note: Don't hold your breath on that one McDaniel. The Democrats don't give a damn about being truthful with the American people nor do they want to give up the corruption that has been theirs for a very long time. The truth will not set them free and that's what scares them.)

According to an NBC report, Mueller and his team began looking into a Manafort involved PR campaign for a pro-Ukraine nonprofit reportedly backed by a pro-Russia party. The Podesta Group is reported to be one of the many firms that worked on the campaign. According to the NBC report, Mueller's investigators have since launched a criminal inquiry into whether the company violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires all people in the US who lobby on behalf of foreign entities to register as foreign agents and disclose the work they're doing.

The Podesta Group eventually did file a registration for this work, only after the media reported they hadn't and Congress started asking questions about their business practices.

In the meantime, new details have emerged since last week about the 2010 approval of the sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to Russia's Rosatom nuclear company. There is proof that the US was involved because the sale gave the Russians control of part of the uranium supply in the US.

The Hill also reported that the FBI has had evidence as early as 2009 that Russian operatives had used bribes, kickbacks and other “dirty” tactics in order to expand Moscow's atomic energy footprint on US soil.

There are now several Republican lawmakers who are asking questions about how this deal was approved by the inter-agency committee. Among them is Sen. John Barrasso, Republican from Wyoming, has raised concerns about this deal since 2010 and even wrote to AG Session on October 19th stating that he was “extremely disheartened and disturbed” by these reports that indicate that the government approved this deal despite that the DOJ had “evidence of corruption by Russian nuclear energy officials in the US.”

The Hill also reported that when Clinton began her role as Secretary of State, there was a Russian spy that posed as an accountant became very close with a Democratic donor in the hope of getting intelligence on Clinton's State Department. This spy was later arrested. The lawmakers on the Hill have also revived questions that first surfaced in 2015 about large payments to both Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation from suspicious “interested parties”.

Hillary commented by saying “The closer the investigation about real Russian ties between Trump associates and real Russians...the more they want to just throw mud on the wall.” However, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders remarked that the only “collusion” is on the other side. “If you want to see collusion with anyone and the Russians, look no further than Tony Podesta and the Clinton crew” Sanders fired back at reporters. (Editors Note: Hillary the mudslinging is better than the “crap” slinging you and your backers continue to sling without ever considering what MOST Americans think.)
